Male Studio Portrait
Jay is very proud of his Gypsy heritage and he arrived at my studio wearing a black coat and a striking colourful scarf. His brief was to capture his "soul". I just had to photograph him against a black background and the result is a striking male portrait with full concentration on his face. Click the photo to see larger size.

Four Generations
This is one for the family photo history book. Four generations which is always something special. I love the way he put his arm up around his Mum with no prompting. Over a 20 year period I have done many 4 generation but only 2 or 3 with five generations. Maybe one day I will get to do six!! Click photo to see large.

Photo Restoration
Some days a beautiful story comes along and this is what I love about my work. She was Lorna a Brisbane girl in wartime Brisbane and David a US Sub Mariner. They had a wartime romance and he had to return to the USA leaving a baby son Bob behind shortly after his birth. Bob never new his father and his father's family did not know about him in Australia. These photos have survived and I am privileged to restore them and put them together for Bob of his parents, the mother he hardly knew and the father he never met. Glamour Shoot
Glamour Photos shoot this morning. I don't do a huge amount of these but always go out of my way to do the very best for the client. This is always special for them and they want to look their best. Sandy has beautiful long hair and it was a pleasure to work with her and create something special for her that wasn't over the top or to risque.

Studio Portrait Shoot
One shot from a studio portrait shoot today for a young couple. I love black and white and the classic simplicity of it, it never dates. Black against a plain black background has no distracting elements. The trick is to backlight them so that their black tops and black hair don't merge with the background. Maybe longer sleeves on her would have worked better but I like the circle her arms make around him. Click photo to see large.

Publicity Head Shots
This is typical of the many head & shoulder shots that I do for Real Estate Agents. They need them for business cards, newspaper adds, flyers, brochures and sometimes billboards. Background colour depends on the Agency and usage but usually clean white or blue works best. More samples are on my web site commercial page: www.glensmithphotography.com/commercial
