Something a little out of the ordinary for me. My hairdresser needed a couple of head shots of her partner for a male hairdressing magazine competition. The requirement was to be in black and white, a frontal shot plus a profile. I tilted the models' head slightly forward to show the hairstyle and used a hair light to accent and separate his black hair against the black backdrop and this is the result.
